El Crucero has become one of our favorite coffees for not only its amazing process leading to an incredible cup, but from the developing relationship we have with producer Ana Mustafa and partner Herbert Penaloza Correa who are creators of the LaREB collective.

The process is coined "fed-batch" and reffers to the "feeding" of fresh cherries to the fermentaion batch over the course of 3 different picking days.

This lends itself to mulitple fermentation levels that create a complex, sweet, and vibrant cup that we absolutely love. This iteration is our 4th time buying from LaREB and will remain in rotation and part of our Old National blend for years to come.
